Toshiba laptop is not providing any type of Recovery Disc with laptop.Instead, Toshiba has added a hidden partition on the hard drive which contains the same files as a recovery CD/DVD.
Warning:- All data on the Hard Disk will be erased.Backup any data before proceeding. Make sure the computer is connected to a power supply and do not switch it off or Restart during Process.
1) Hold down the power button for ten second to switch off your machine.
* Holding down the power button on the machine forces it to switch off. Any unsaved data will be lost.
2) Press and Hold the zero key and at the same time, tap the power button once to switch on your notebook.
3) When the Machine starts beeping, release the zero key.
4) When prompted by the warning screen, select YES to continue with the system recovery.
5) You can see 2 option over here
a) Recovery of Factory Default Software:- This option will take you to the Factory restore setting
b) Erase the hard disk:- This option will erase you hard drive fully. I suggest you to not to go through this second option because this option delete all records of your hard drive including Factory partition.
5) Select Recovery of factory Default Software and Click Next.
6) Now there is three option:-
a) Recover to out-of-box-state(System Recovery Options are included):- This option will delete all the partition and create only single partition that will be c:/
b) Recover without changing the hard drive partitions:- This option will only delete single windows partition driver and rest of the disk partition will be save but still before go for this process, get backup of your all data.
c) Recover to a custom size partition:- In this option you can decide the size of your windows drive so that you can create another partition as per your need.
8) then again press Next.
9) Now factory restore process is started then don't close this program in between the process and make sure that your charger is connected with your notebook.
