No audio devices visible in sound properties on Toshiba laptop

•     Click on the Start menu.
•     Click on Control Panel.
•     If you can see “Hardware and Sound”, click that and then click Sound.    Otherwise, click on the Sound icon.
•     Click on the Playback tab and you will notice it states “No audio devices are installed”.
•     Right click in an empty part of the box and check the option “Show Disabled Devices”.
•     Right click the device and click “Enable”.
•     Click OK.
