Fn+ESC This function mutes the sound from your speakers - on/off button.
Fn+F1 Use this to lock your computer so it can only be used after you reactivate it with your   password.

Fn+F6 Reduce the brightness of the backlights that illuminate your screen. This is one of the biggest users of the power in your notebook, so it can help extend battery life.
Fn+F7 Increases brightness. Handy when you're in a bright room or outside.
Fn+F8 Wireless On/Off. This lets you cycle between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modes. It can also help you extend battery life by switching off power to the Wi-Fi antennas.
Fn+F9 Mousepad on/off. Handy if you're a touch typist and you don't want the mousepad active while you're using the keyboard.
Fn+F10 Arrow pad on/off. Handy if you're a touch typist and don't want the arrow pad active while you're using the keyboard.
Fn+F11 Number pad on/off. Handy if you're touch typist and you don't want the number pad active while you're using the keyboard.
Fn+F12 Zoom control. This function uses the 3D processing power of the video chip to let you zoom in on the screen - useful for reading smaller text, or looking at the detail in a diagram or photo.
